András serves as our Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer and a member of our Board of Directors. Before the establishment of Clinch Biosciences András was the Chairman of Motorpharma Ltd., a preclinical drug development company that was co-founded by András for the development of MPH-220. András is a leading inventor of more than 10 patents related to motor protein targeting drug candidate developments. Prof. Málnási-Csizmadia received his PhD in Structural Biochemistry at ELTE Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary. He spent his postdoctoral trainings at University of Leicester in the lab of Prof. Clive Bagshaw and at Brandeis University in the lab of Prof. Andrew Szent-Györgyi, two founding giants of the actin-myosin field.
Máté serves as our Co-Founder, Chief Scientific Officer and a member of our Board of Directors. Before the establishment of Clinch Biosciences Máté was the Chief Scientific Officier of Motorpharma Ltd., where he led the development of MPH-220, now MTR-601, a first-in-class muscle relaxant, which proved safe, tolerable and effective in Phase 1 clinical trial under the control of Motric Bio, and no advanced to Phase 2a. Dr. Gyimesi received his PhD in Structural Biochemistry at ELTE Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest, Hungary. Before the establishment of Motorpharma Ltd. he was a Postdoctoral Scholar at University of California, Davis in the lab of Prof. Stephen C. Kowalczykowski in the framework of Marie Curie International Outgoing Fellowship. He also received the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Reintegration Grant.
Gabor serves as our Co-founder and a member of our Board of Directors. Gabor is a Partner at the law firm Foley and Lardner LLP, where he has over 40 years of experience counseling life science and technology companies from inception through financings, strategic transactions, and private and public exits. Gabor served as Chair of Foley’s Private Equity & Venture Capital Practice and as Co-chair of the Life Sciences Team.
Gabor’s private equity and venture capital practice encompasses all legal and business aspects of structuring, financing, and managing various types of investment funds; negotiating mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions of portfolio companies; structuring investments in emerging companies; and participating in strategic decisions of funds and fund-owned companies.
Gabor received his J.D. at Harvard Law School and his B.A. at Harvard College. Gabor has been the Hungarian Consul General for New England, was the founder of the Hungarian-American Chamber of Commerce of New England and was appointed as Honorary Commercial Attaché.
